In this unit I handed out each child a cup that included two sided counters, teddy bears and unifix cubes. Each kid had a different amount. We created a real object graph with these items. The students had to tally and record the data of their objects. We then used the picture graph sheet and the pictures to create a picture graph based on the real object graph. This is showing students that the same information can be graphed in different ways. After completing the picture graph we used that to create the bar graph and answer the questions. They learned three different types of graphs and how to make them.
