To the Teacher:
Just as we ask students to analyze poetry, it is important for us to ask them to analyze images they encounter. This lesson offers a structure for doing that. Using the list of questions provided, students are guided through the critical thinking process as they are taught what to look for as they view any images in society. This can also be used for viewing a video clip by simply changing the word “photo” to “video.”
