PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This project could be used by itself, or as a complement to “Naming the Chemical Elements.” Suggestions for using the cards:

Students can arrange them in order by:
Their atomic number
Alphabetically by Element Name or Symbol
Chronologically by the dates on the cards
The occupations of the scientists who discovered them, or for whom they were named.
Geographically by the countries mentioned on the cards

Two sets of card can be printed and a matching game can be played (though you may want to do that with just a subset of the cards at a time, so as not to overwhelm those who are playing!)

I’m sure you and your students will come up with other fun ways to enjoy the cards.

There are also three different, historical versions of the Periodic Table included, so that students can see that the Periodic Table hasn’t always been designed the way it currently looks.

Happy Learning
