A fun way to review or introduce punctuation rules including commas, colons and semicolons, hyphens, apostrophes, end punctuation, and more. It's a great activity for test prep and review, holidays, the last day or week of school, or other filler days.
"Punctuation Pirates" is a fun, interactive way for students to review punctuation rules. In the game, students will play in teams to identify and fix punctuation errors.
This is intended to be used as a competitive test-prep game show, but it could also be used as a great back-to-school activity: a fun way to evaluate where your students' punctuation skills stand.
This PowerPoint game has over forty possible questions, complete with hundreds of fun, interactive animations, sound clips, and navigation buttons. NOTE that there is one font you will need to install to get the game to look like the preview pictures, which only takes a few seconds. Also, there is an odd glitch with PowerPoint 2010 that will make a few of the menu animations malfunction occasionally. But that will not prevent the game play from working the way it should.
