This resource includes 2 different versions.
Includes the word problem on the first puzzle piece and then has the two equations needed to solve the problem on the other two puzzle pieces. I cut the puzzle pieces up and put them in a ziplock and give them to groups to put together the pieces. This provides a good scaffolding by giving equation options for students who are not fully independent in solving 2 step word problems yet. Students use the recording sheet to record the equations and fin the answers to the equations.
This version includes the word problem only for student who no longer need support in solving these types of problems. I printed these onto cardstock and laminated them and then had students write the equations onto the puzzle pieces. I also required students to record their equations and answers on the recording sheet for accountability.
*I purposefully create my products in black and white since many schools do not offer colored copies, so I print these onto colored paper and laminate them for cute use in review centers.*
