This game is a great way to help your students practice the short i sound.

Directions to Play:

1. Players begin by placing their marker on the pig/start picture.
2. Players roll a die. The person with the highest number will go first.
3. Roll the die and move that many spaces. If a player lands on a pig print box,
they should pick up a game card and answer the question. If the question is answered correctly, the player will stay in that box. If the question is answered
incorrectly, the player must move back to their previous box.
4. Players who land on the special boxes (corn, apple, slop or mud puddle) should follow the directions on the board. The +1 means to move ahead one box, the -1 means to move back one box and the lose a turn box means that the player loses their next turn.
The first player to reach the pig pen is the winner!
