Product Description
This is a five-page research activity comparing the lives of Pilgrim children to those of Native American (Wampanoag) children. It was used as a combination Social Studies/Language Arts project. The packet can be broken into sections for focused study and adjusted for student ability.

You can use any materials you have relating to Pilgrims and Native Americans. I have used Kate Waters' Samuel Eaton and Sarah Morton books from Scholastic for the Pilgrim information. There is also a book called Tampenum's Day; it tells about the typical day of a Wampanoag boy. I have also used the Magic Treehouse Research Guide on Pilgrims; there is a good chapter on the Wampanoag in there as well as information about Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving.
