This activity targets 4 areas of social skills in a way that will get your students up and moving! It can be played like “pin the tail on the donkey.” Each color heart represents a different skill.
(green = compliments, pink = asking for help, orange = greetings, purple = end a conversation)
To Play: Play 2 or more colors at a time. Hang up the blank hearts on the wall in no particular order. Students then take turns drawing cards and “pinning” them to the correct heart. To make it more fun, blindfold the student and after “pinning” to a heart, discuss if it’s on the correct color.
pg. 3-4: visuals for each skill to hang on the wall as a reminder
pg. 5-8: print 4 copies of each color heart (for total of 24 of each heart)
pg. 9: 24 compliments (green writing)
pg. 10: 24 ways to ask for help (pink writing)
pg. 11: 24 greetings (orange writing)
pg. 12: 24 ways to end a conversation (purple writing)
*the writing on the cards to “pin” are color-coded for easy identification for the SLP/teacher*
