Ahoy fellow Teachers! This is an Addition Fluency system that will be a fun way for your students to enjoy learning their addition facts.
The goal is for your students to become Honorary Pirates, by traveling around the world and collecting all 12 stamps to include in their passports. When students have collected all of their stamps, then they ”officially” become an Honorary Pirate.
The first thing you need to do is print out each addition fact set in colored paper. It is up to you what color you want each to be. I wanted to leave this open so that you could use what you had available.
Each week the students will receive their set of addition facts. I included different sets of flash cards. Some include the answers and some without. One may be used as a study guide, while the other is used more as an independent assessment.
At the end of the week, your students will then take their addition quiz. If they receive a score of 100% then they would receive a new stamp on their passport booklet. I also included a treasure map if you want the students to color in each set after they have mastered a specific fact.
At the end of the 12 weeks, or more, the students will have received 12 different certificates. I have included two different versions that you could use. It congratulates the students after they have learned a new set of facts.
