This a board game to practice oral narrative and story comprehension skills. Any story book, including a book being read in the child’s classroom, can used with this game.
**READ THE STORY FIRST** then play the game.
Children take turns drawing a pirate owl card, answering the question and moving the number of spaces awarded at the bottom of the card. First child to get their pirate to the ship wins!
It is important to note there is no penalty for incorrect answers, the therapist should guide the child to the correct answer before moving onto the next child’s turn.
