Put on yer pirate hats, find out yer pirate name, and prepare for some fun trivia!
Set up: Print, cut, and laminate all pages. You can make one copy of the game board (page 4), or make one per student in your groups. You need enough location cards for each student (see page 3). There should be one of each location (each horizontal strip is enough for one student) per student. Also print a minimum of three copies of page 5, as these place cards will tell each student what they will be collecting. You may use the foil cards on page 6 to add to the fun of the game.
I have included a quick pirate hat craft that can be assembled to wear while playing the game. There are also two sheets to find out your pirate name.
To play: Have a student pick a treasure chest card and put it to the side. SLP/teacher reads a map card (trivia question). If the student responds correctly to the question, s/he collects a location card with the picture of the place indicated on the treasure chest. The winner will be the first person to collect all place cards.
