Play this fun and exciting game with your students! In Pirates Ahoy, your students will take turns selecting cards from a "messy" pile. If they select a "pirate", the student must provide an antonym for the word on the bottom of the card. If they are able to give an antonym, they get to keep the card. If not, they must put the card back into the pile.
2 specialty cards are also in the deck: a pirate ship and a treasure chest. If they draw a ship, they are ordered to "walk the plank" and must put a card from their pile back in the face down pile.
If they draw a treasure chest, they have found a treasure and are able to take another turn. This game allows the student to work on vocabulary/antonyms for students. This activity includes the following:
* 56 cards with antonyms
* 4 specialty cards
* 8 blank cards for you to add your own synonyms
* Answer key with possible synonym answers
Please enjoy this great game! It works well for students working on vocabulary or coming up with antonyms.
