Pirates Trace and Write (Sight Word Practice and Sentence Writing)
This resource includes 18 pages of pirate fun! Each page has a trail (dashed line) for the pirate to follow to find the treasure. As students help the pirate find the treasure, they will find sight words as well as other words along the way. As they trace (follow) the trail, students will trace each word they encounter along the way. Students will also encounter many cute pirate graphics along the way to the treasure chest. After helping the pirate find the treasure, students will write the sentence in the correct order from the trail. There are lines for sentence writing at the bottom of each page.
Here are the directions at the top of each page: A pirate’s work is never done. Making sentences is so much fun! Follow the pirate to the treasure chest. Trace the words you find along the way. Then write your sentence.
This is great for sight word practice and makes a great literacy center. Each sheet can be put in a page protector or laminated, and then students can use a dry erase marker to complete each page. This saves on the number of copies you have to make.
