This is the first piece I've really taken the time to work out. I hope it can be as useful and informative as it has been in my music lessons.
This booklet is based on the Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance. Most of the characterisation and style refers to the version that contains Jon English (https://shop.abc.net.au/products/pirates-of-penzance-4).
This guide allows students to address Voice types, characterisation, meaning within music, theory basics and a teacher reflection element at the end. I haven't yet created a scaffold for the piece as I am new to teaching and am currently ironing out the kinks, but if I have a tried and mostly true method I'll be sure to share (if you find one first, please let me know!)
The file contains a booklet style format, however a lot of staff printers come with a booklet option that can also staple and fold the book for you which I highly recommend. You need to use the sheet file to do this - the booklet file will fit four booklet pages onto one A4 sheet otherwise (very confusing).
It is recommended that you print in CMYK if possible as the colours of the characters can appear lifeless.
