* This PowerPoint was created using 3rd Grade Science Standards, but can be easily modified to address other related grade level standards.
This PowerPoint reviews pitch, volume, and sound. The PowerPoint format asks the students a question and the following slide presents the answer. Pitch, and volume seem to be hard concepts for students to differentiate between, because of this, terms are repetitive in this product. This product goes great with the Pitch. Volume, and Sound Flashcards Assignment. When using both assignments together, I found that there was an increase in students' retention of knowledge and that the students learned quicker.
This PowerPoint can also be printed and/or laminated and serve as a flashcard review for science centers, small group assessments, and questions and answers sheets could be handed out to students and the class could play a matching game. I also find it helpful for my students when I continuously play PowerPoints during arrival and dismal. While playing the PowerPoint during these times, you are ensuring to maximize every minute in the classroom. Students can answer aloud and this is great for spiraling and reviewing standards while teaching "bell to bell".
Please note that this PowerPoint is identical to the Pitch, Volume, and Sound Review PDF in the Straight to the Standards store. If you are purchasing this PowerPoint and would like a copy of the identical PDF, please contact me for a free copy.
