This file contains slides for the folk song Pitter, Patter. This song helps to reinforce the difference between beat and rhythm, while also learning about the quarter rest.
This file comes in TWO PDFs the song file and game:
Song file includes: slides showing the beat and slides showing the rhythm (picture then standard notation)
Game includes: An interactive board game that asks students to find quarter notes, quarter rests, and eighth notes. Students will want to participate because they get to click the clouds to see if they are right. This is a great way to practice quarter rests after introducing them.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are using Adobe Acrobat for the game file
