Just the name sounds like fun for primary students! One of the most popular centers during our chapter on patterns, Pitter-Patter Patterns gives children the opportunity to be creative while they show what they know and explore patterns. This hands-on cut and paste activity has been enthusiastically chosen by children in 1st and 2nd grade. While younger children are comfortable making basic patterns, others will show their creativity by displaying unique and thoughtful arrangements. Simply copy the foot prints page (provided) in a variety of colors. Children will cut them apart and glue them in rows on their background paper.
An easy to read directions card allows students to explore Pitter-Patter Patterns independently in a center, or use it as a whole class activity.
