Description
This BUNDLE includes two products with a total of 4 pixel art (contains 48 problems) on word problems involving adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators and unlike denominators. All pixel arts are self-checking Google Sheets, themed after winter and Christmas. It's great as sub plan, review lesson, or independent practice!
This bundle covers the Common Core standards including:
4.NF.B.3d
Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions referring to the same whole and having like denominators, e.g., by using visual fraction models and equations to represent the problem.
5.NF.A.2
Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions referring to the same whole, including cases of unlike denominators, e.g., by using visual fraction models or equations to represent the problem.
The images on the Google Sheet are versatile, so it can really be used at any time in the school year. All pixel arts also include an optional PDF/print worksheet version with space for student to work out the problems on paper before inputting the solutions on the Google Sheets! Students will need access to a digital device (i.e. computer) to complete this activity.
Students practice a series of problems, and get immediate feedback as they go. Correct answers turn green and incorrect answers stay red. As students type in correct answers, a mystery picture appears. The Google Sheets are all self checking & digital, so it can easily be assigned through Google Classroom or any online learning platform.
There's no prep required. This is great for virtual or in person learning!
