PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

For this activity, students will make English muffin pizzas (or pizza however you'd like to make it!), list the steps, discuss transition words and phrases, complete a planning page, and then write a “How to” paragraph.

I have created this activity with multiple versions of most parts of the activity. This allows you to easily differentiate for your learners. You can decide what versions fit your learners best, or allow them to have a choice as to what works best for them.

Contents:

-Sequence of Events Chart – 3 versions
-Version 1 – Chart is numbered. Each section of the chart is
blank.
-Version 2 – Chart is not numbered. Each section of the chart is
blank.
-Version 3 – Chart is numbered and lines are provided for each
section for your students to write on.

-Transition Words and Phrases – 2 pages
- Page 1 – 8 transition words and phrases are provided. These
can be easily cut for your students to use as they write.
- Page 2 – Blank cards are provided for your students to add
additional transition words or phrases. These can be easily cut
for your students to use as they write.

- Planning Page – 4 versions
-The page is set up to provide organization for your students as
they begin to write a “how to” paragraph.
-Version 1 –Three lines are provided for each sentence – topic
sentence, steps, and concluding sentence.
-Version 2 – Two lines are provided for each sentence – topic
sentence, six steps, and concluding sentence.
-Version 3 – Three lines are provided for each sentence – topic
sentence, six steps, and concluding sentence. A box is also
placed at the beginning of each set of lines for students to place
a transition word or phrase.
-Version 4 – Three lines are provided for each sentence – this
version focuses only on a topic sentence and concluding
sentence. Students would be encouraged to then use their
sequence of events chart as they write the steps of their
paragraph.

I hope you and your students enjoy this yummy, fun activity! 
