### Description

⭐ Pizza Fractions is a project based learning unit based around working in a pizza restaurant. Students will solve fraction problems based on preparing and serving pizzas.

⭐ Students follow instructions to identify equal pizza slices, partition pizzas into fractions, add toppings to pizzas to make fractions, and answer various story problems about fractions and their pizzas. Additional "challenge activities" engage students and develop further understanding of the concepts and skills.

⭐No prep, print and go!

⭐ This project-based learning task involves using the following CCSS Geometry math standards to solve problems related to pizza preparation.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.G.A.2

Partition a rectangle into rows and columns of same-size squares and count to find the total number of them.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.G.A.3

Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc. and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.
