Students will collect crust, tomato sauce, cheese and then additional toppings as they divide problems along the way. Students will be dividing 2-3 digits by 1 digit divisors. This correlates with 4.NBT.6, but could be easily used in 3rd or 5th grade as well.
Students will place their counters on start. The first player rolls the dice and writes a division problem using the number on the dice and the number on the game board. The dividend is the number you land on and the divisor is the number on the dice.
After solving the problem on the recording sheet, the other player checks the answer on a calculator. If the players answer has a remainder, they get to move that many additional spaces. Collect an ingredient each round until you have reached the finish line. The winner is the player that makes it to the finish line with all their pizza ingredients first!
*Challenge: For students that need a challenge, use two dice and make it a double digit number.
