This is a collection of 10 activities for your students to use during a place value unit. They are differentiated for different levels of ability from 2 digit to 4 digit numbers. Each activity is for a different purpose. This collection includes games which can either reused and recording sheets.

Making and ordering numbers three different levels
Fill in the missing numbers. These puzzles are based on the 100 chart and increase in difficulty.
All in order game. Playing with a partner to fill in the game board making and ordering numbers.
Making and ordering numbers. Using a dice to make a 1,2,and 3 digit number, finding the sum and comparing with a partner to see who has the biggest number.
Identify the counting pattern and complete the chart. The chart starts at a random number which is not shown. Students need to work out the counting pattern and then work back to the beginning of the chart to complete. These are differentiated tasks.
Using a 100 chart with a section of numbers blocked out students must use a shape to answer questions about the hidden numbers. Challenges their understanding of 1 more and less, 10 more and less.
Think Boards, three think boards which can be used as an assessment of student understanding.
I have successfully used all of these activities in my class. My students found them engaging and enjoyable to complete.
