This is a great hands on activity for students working on place value and reading a number. There are two sets of cards one set that has the students creating numbers up to a million and set two has the students creating numbers with decimals. Each card tells the student to put a certain number in a specific place value. Every card is different so that the students have to read the cards and use the number tiles to put the numbers in the correct spots. The number tiles also include comas and decimals. There is also a student sheet to write on or you can have them read the number verbally to a partner to check their answers.
I use this with my MTSS groups and in centers for a review with the students. It is hands-on and helps them really focus where the numbers need to go.
