Kids build a burger, creating a number!
Print off as many top and bottom buns that you would like.
Each player gets a bun (top and bottom).
Separate the items into 5 compartments: burger, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle.
Kids take turns pulling out the item they need next to build their burger (no peeking).
There are 6 rounds. When a kid wins, he/she circles his/her number (recording sheet).
(person with the largest number wins the round)
When the rounds are over, kids count how many numbers they have circled.
The one with the most numbers circled is the overall winner!
You can also use this in small groups to test kids.
Ask them to build you an 875 burger.
(that would just be 800 lettuce, 70 tomato and 5 pickle on a bun - veggie style)
Kids problem solve and piece together the burger components.
