This is a fun Halloween activity to display what your second graders have learned about place value! Each student is given a candy corn template with an assigned number at the top. (You can differentiate by giving them either a 2-digit or 3-digit number.) It is the student's job to write the base-ten numerals, expanded form, and word form of their number name. This activity is aligned to the following second grade math standard:
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
