Description

Place Value Centers: Football Fever

Practice place value skills and build number sense with these fun Football Fever Place Value Centers. This place value practice is perfect at the beginning of 3rd grade to build upon 2nd grade skills. 2 digit and 3 digit numbers are included to allow for easy differentiation of place value skills. These easy-prep (just cut!) centers are mostly blackline versions for cheap and easy printing! Each center also includes a recording sheet.

Place Value skills included:
•standard and expanded form
•comparing and ordering numbers
•applying rules with addition and subtraction
•adding and subtracting two and three digit numbers
•rounding to the nearest tens and hundreds
•mentally adding and subtracting tens, multiples of tens and a hundred.

These skills help build students' number sense and solidify their place value understanding.

Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
