Place Value Chart Display

Description
It's the place value chart that teaches. I designed what I think is a fun and funky place value chart. I put it together to show many different concepts related to place value. it makes a cute and colorful classroom display.
The place value chart goes from thousandths to hundred billions. Each period is listed on a different color. Each period on the chart also has a different color awning. There are arrows to show that anything to the right of the decimal is a part of a whole and anything to the left is a whole number. It also shows that tenths are smaller than wholes, hundredths are smaller than tenths, and thousandths are smaller than hundredths. Two sets of numbers (0-9) are included. These can be incorporated into activities with the place value chart. One set of numbers has digits underlined, so you can discuss the value of the underlined digit when you make a number.
You can keep this displayed all year on a bulletin board or simply put it up when you go to discuss place value in the classroom.
Have fun, and be creative in how you use it. I have included a few suggestions in the packet, but you are surely not limited to my suggestions.
