Help your students to practice place value in a fun way! This pack includes 4 black and white printable tens and ones place value charts with a Valentine's Day theme.
Being a first grade teacher, I know how important visuals are to my students. In these charts, you will see ten ones boxes, along with ten boxes for ten rods. These charts can help to remind students to "make a ten" and move ten ones to the tens place when all ten boxes are filled. This helps to make the exchange from ones to tens more concrete.
These place value charts can be printed on regular paper or cardstock. I would suggest laminating for extra durability. Use with ten rods and ones cubes or with dry erase markers.
