This set of 5 math workstations was created to help students identify and understand place value to the hundreds place. Base-10 block model picture cards are included, however Base-10 block models could be used as manipulatives instead.
The activities are Builder/Construction-themed. Included are:
Word Problems Under Construction (Identify the place value of each digit)
Build-a-Block (Use dice to create a 3-digit number and use base ten picture cards to model)
Valuable Tools (Practice expanded form by identifying how many hundreds, tens, and ones are needed to create a given number)
Building Charts (Students identify the place value for an underlined digit in a given number and record progress using a place value chart)
Construction Scoot (This can be a whole-class game as well, in which students identify a digit in a given place value)
All of my workstations were created to fit into a 6x9 envelope for easy storage! Recording sheets are also included for quick-checks of student progress. Answer Keys are included when applicable.
