Differentiated review games and sorts to help your students identify the value of a digit! Activities use numbers to review the ones, tens, hundreds and thousands place. This is a perfect activity for end of 1st or beginning 2nd grade!
★ "Place Value Crab Walk": TWO sets of matching games - depending on ability level! Available in color and black and white.
This can be played in a small group setting or station in memory/concentration style, OR it can be played similar to a cake walk. You give each student a crab card with a given place value, put the number cards around the room and turn on some music! When you stop the music, students find a space and see if their place value matches the number card. If so, they can keep the number card they landed on. If the student doesn’t get to a space when the music stops, they are out. Whoever has the most number cards at the end, wins!
★ THREE differentiated options for independent practice
★ Bonus: Spin for Ten partner game! Students spin to add or subtract ten from a given number.
