Description

Looking for something to keep kids learning and having fun at home?

I use this for distance learning as part of our zoom meeting for a fun twist on place value. It is perfect for the whole class, or for small groups. We practice how many tens, do jumping jacks for that number, and then how many ones, and do a random exercise for that number. This makes a great review of, or introduction to place value, and is perfect to get kids moving!

This editable powerpoint includes numbers 1 - 99 for place value practice with workouts like sit ups, jumping jacks, push ups, toe touches, one foot hops, etc.

The powerpoint can be customized - you can delete, add, or edit numbers that your students may need additional work on. I like to start with teen numbers, and then gradually move to twenties, thirties, etc.

With this hands on learning, my class catches on to place value quickly!

Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each composition or decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 18 = 10 + 8); understand that these numbers are composed of ten ones and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
