Product Description
Students will practice place value to two-digits with these engaging cut and paste activities.

Here's more.

What kid doesn't love scissors and glue? I haven't met one yet! Cut and paste is all the rage in my classroom, and I'm fine with that! It keeps their little bodies engaged along with their minds.

This file includes 21 -- yes, 21 -- cut and paste activities for practicing skills related to place value with tens and ones. There is no prep for you -- just print and go!

These exercises ask students to identify a two-digit number as represented by tens and ones. For an added challenge, some activities also ask students to compare or order two-dight numbers.

How can I use these?

Use a couple while you are teaching the standard.. but then keep the rest around. Pull them out whenever the mood strikes you to review the standard. It's important to review mastered skills, lest our students "forget" and progress is lost. (Sort of like how those push-ups I did last month aren't doing me any good now...)

Use these when you are first teaching place value. Then put some in your sub tub, use one on a Friday afternoon when little hands need tasks, when you have to give that quick make-up test, or when the lights go out and your technology-rich lesson is ruined. The review is great, and sometimes students need a mastery activity to boost their confidence.

Another idea? If your students have wandering eyes, print three different pages. Pass them out so that neighbors have different activities. (How devious!)

Tell me what's included again.

This file contains 21 place value activities. There are 7 activities for each of three exercises. The exercises require students to:
1. ...convert model form to numerical form.
2. ...convert model form to numerical form, then sort by value.
3. ...convert model form to numerical form, then order by value.
