In this 16 page file you will find several different tools and skeleton notes to help teach place value, different forms of numbers; standard, expanded and word form, rounding and blank place value charts. Completed notes, as well as fill in the blanks, are included. There are 5 pages of expanded form accordions, which, when folded and cut, will make 20 different accordions. If you have not used accordions to teach the concept of numbers expressed in expanded form, you are in for a treat! The students beg to use them and after several practice centers I give one to each student to glue in their math notebooks. There is a triangular 'flip flap' to show all number forms, and a "how to read numbers" place value chart. Blank place value charts are easy to slip in personal white boards to use all year long. Print these pages on colored paper for more fun!
