Place Value Game
Product Description
A simple yet surprisingly entertaining dice game which can be used to check students' understanding of place value.

Students compete in pairs. They take turns rolling a dice and entering their numbers in the place value grids.

There are 5 rounds. e.g the instruction for Round 1 is "Make the biggest possible number". Students must decide carefully where they enter their digits in order to try to fulfil the objective for that round.

The 5 rounds are:
Round 1: "Make the biggest possible number"
Round 2: "Make the smallest possible number"
Round 3: "Make the biggest possible number"
Round 4: "Make the smallest possible number"
Round 5: "Make the smallest possible number between 3000 and 4000"
Round 6: "Make the biggest possible number between 5000 and 6000"
Round 7: "Make the smallest possible number between 3 and 4". Students only roll the dice 4 times in this round.

This has worked really well as an end of lesson activity in the past.
