Name that Place using Larger Numbers- Studying place value or number sense? If so, this game will be a fun way to review the different places of specific digits in a number. It's hard to determine the value if you don't even know the place, right? :-)

This is a partner game where students will pull a card from a baggie/stack displaying a large number written in standard form. One of the digits in the number in underlined. The digits that are underlined range from the thousand's place to the ten billion's place. The students whose turn it is will give the place of the number. Once the answer is checked on the answer sheet, if the answer was correct, the player will mark the place on the game board to match the place of the underlined digit. The winner is the first student to get 5 in a row.Students can play multiple rounds, as some rounds will last longer than others.

Includes: cover sheet for front of file folder, game board, 25 game cards, directions, answer key, and colored game pieces if needed.

This game works perfectly as a cooperative math game, center activity, and great for guided math if you need to work with a small group. Take it out for review before tests, or basically just use any time throughout the year.
