Picking Places is a great game for students to build their understanding of place value. There are different levels- ones (units), tens and hundreds for differentiation.
How to Play:
The first boards you will see are the lower level. Students spin the spinner and write their number in the box. Highest/lowest number is the winner.
The boards with multiple boxes are used for picking place value.
One at a time, players use the spinner and spin up 2 or 3 numbers and decide where to put their numbers to make a two or three-digit number. Once both players have made a number, the player with the largest number places a counter on their number.
After all 5 rounds have been played, the player with the most counters covering their numbers is the winner.
There are boards using just units, boards with tens and boards with hundreds.
Lowest number is the winner.
Closest number to 500 is the winner
I have included colour and black-line boards.
