Roll Six Place Value is a fun way to learn how to read and understand place value!
How to Play:
Roll the die to see who goes first—highest number goes first. The first student rolls one die. Whatever number is rolled, the student goes to the corresponding column and picks any problem in that column to answer. The student reads the number and tells what the place value is of the red number.(example: 7,243 - Seven thousand two hundred forty-three The red number is in the tens place.) If the number is read correctly and the place value is identified correctly, the student puts a chip, marker, etc. on that space. Students continue to take turns rolling the die. The first student to get six chips in a row is the winner of the game!
This is a very engaging and motivating game that can be played during group time, work stations, or free time.
This game includes 3 different leveled game boards starting out reading to the thousands place, continuing to the millions place and eventually progressing to read through the thousandths place.
Students love this game and are able to read and understand place value quickly!
