This product has 8 graphic organizers that increase in difficulty for your students throughout the year. It can be used in multiple grade levels. I have also included 2 blank organizers for you to make your own, if needed.
Here’s a look at how I use this product. In my school district we use BBY’s What’s My Place, What’s My Value during our whole group math instruction time. We basically spend about 15 min. building a number together while talking about place value. We then use the number to complete a graphic organizer. The responsibility is gradually released to the student to complete the organizer independently. I use these organizers as guided practice, collaborative practice, independent practice, formative assessments, and for differentiation. These are a great way to differentiate. With the new TKES evaluation system in GA, this is a great way to help meet the differentiation strand in whole group math. You can give students different organizers based on the skills they need to be working on at the time. You could also assign different numbers instead of the whole class using the same number.
This resource has helped in my classroom tremendously and I know it will in your's too!
