Students practice using what they know about tens and ones to answer the question How Many? by finding groups of tens and ones instead of counting all.
Included are 5 sheets that ask the kids to find out how many by circling groups of tens and then recording how many tens and ones they have to say how many objects there are.
Page 1 focuses on the teen numbers - 11 snowmen, 18 reindeer and 16 Santas (bags of candy).
Page 2 focuses on numbers between 20 and 30 - 24 twisters, 29 striped and 23 swirled (lollipops).
Page 3 focuses on numbers between 30 and 40 - 31 chocolate trees, 38 wrapped peppermints and 37 chocolate stars (candies).
Page 4 focuses on numbers between 40 and 50 - 50 candy sticks, 46 gumdrops, and 42 candy canes.
Page 5 focuses on numbers 50-60 - 52 Santa lollipops and 53 reindeer lollipops.
