Place Value: I'm Thinking of a Number - Set 6
This is the sixth of six different sets of "I'm Thinking of a Number Cards" to use when teaching place value. This set uses 3 digit numbers, odd and even numbers and the sum of digits in the clues. These clues may have more than one solution.
I use the cards in a small group at first and have them build the number on a place value mat with base ten blocks. We discuss how they determined the number from the clues.
When the activity is moved to a center, students shuffle the cards, draw one card, build the number on their place value charts and then record it on the response sheet.
My TpT store also has a free download of Hundreds Charts with numbers from 1-1000 that students can use for this activity.
Included are thirty-two clue cards, a place value mat with hundreds, tens and ones, and a student response sheet.
