I made this game to go along with my first grade Math in Focus chapter, Numbers to 40. It is modeled after many of the questions that children would see. Children are asked to compare and order numbers, write numbers in words, and complete number patterns. The game has been made for numbers up to 40, but it can certainly be edited to accommodate higher numbers.
Please read the directions below on how to play and please contact me with any questions. Thanks for your support! I hope you and your students enjoy this game as much as mine did!
How to Play Jeopardy
I usually put my children into groups of 4-5 students and allow them to work together to arrive at a common answer. How you arrange your children is up to you. I usually have them use their mini white boards to record their answers.
To play, allow the first group to choose their category. They can choose any category or point value. Click on the category and point value that they have chosen. It will bring you right to that question. If they get the correct answer, they score the designated number of points!
To return to the main page, there should be some icons in the lower left hand corner of the Power Point. I usually just select “return to previous slide” and it brings me back to where we started. This also helps because the hyperlink remains a different color and it will help you and your students to know which questions were already answered.
