This loop around game contains 30 cards with 30 questions identifying digits in place values up to the ten thousands place. The way a loop around works is you cut out and laminate each card, hand out at least one card to each student participating. Have one student start by reading their card. The student with the answer to that card then reads his/her card out loud. Eventually the activity will loop back to the first person. If there are more cards than students hand out more than one card to some students. This activity can be used with the whole class, in a math center, or with a small group.
Note that when using this with students they will need to pay attention to the word "only" in the questions in order to correctly identify the next card and successfully complete the loop.
