There are multiple ways to play this activity. The original version is to keep the numeral form cards intact as game boards, whilst cutting up the expanded notation and written form cards to create playing cards.
Each player has a game board, whilst the playing cards are placed in the middle of the group. Players take a card each and turn it over, so all members of the group can see. If any player has the matching number on their game board, they then keep the card. The first player to have all matching pairs on their game board wins.
Alternatively, all cards could be cut up into playing cards, and the players can play ‘SNAP’.
