This is part of a set of place value matching games that are leveled and be used for small group instruction or a math center. Set A is the least challenging of the three games. Players must be able to identify and match the place value of each digit based on the description on the card.
You will also find a card with the answer key if you would like students to self-check their answers.
Two different recording sheets are included. One sheet is for recording answers and a second sheet is designed for students to select a card and show their thinking and the steps they took to solve it.
There is a slide with "Magic Place Value" charts and an example for students to use. This is helpful for students who are more visual and also provides the aforementioned example.
I have also included a sheet of blank cards so your math scholars can create their own problems. It has been my experience that when students can write a problem and provide the answer, this demonstrates mastery and a more in-depth understanding of the concept.
