Description

Are you looking for place value math centers for your upper elementary students? This place value activity pack includes tons of resources that are perfect for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math groups. These place value activities give students the chance to practice working with LARGER numbers including hundreds, thousands, millions, and billions.

You can use these place value resources as part of a math centers rotation. Your students will benefit from practicing skills such as rounding, identifying the value of digits, and ordering numbers. The variety of activities will provide students with multiple opportunities for practice and place value review.

  • Tropical Place Value: Task Cards focusing on finding the value of an underlined digit, writing in word/expanded/standard form, & creating numbers with large place values (Includes Answer Sheet with QR Scans)

  • Place Value Craft: Create a place value 'neighborhood' to better understand the value of hundreds, thousands, and millions.

  • Place Value Chart: Laminate and use with an Expo marker to help visualize place value

Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
