Students work on matching picture form, word form, or expanded form with the correct numeral in these super fun and easy to set up (and keep organized!!) Place Value Puzzles.
Just like how we put regular puzzles together, but with a place-value-twist. Students read the picture form, word form, or expanded form of a number on each puzzle piece, then look on that puzzle’s board and match the piece with the answer on the board. There is no picture to put together, so students must correctly match the form of each number with the actual number (numeral) to fit the puzzle together correctly!
There are 15 different puzzle boards to select from depending on student-need!
Set them up as stations or rotate through the different puzzles each week! Use them as reinforcement in an RTI session, or with a parent volunteer!
*Print the puzzle pieces on card stock and laminate to keep the puzzles looking awesome after your students love on them for months!
*I have labeled each puzzle game board and the puzzle pieces that match that game board with a special shape and color. (see preview for example). I highly suggest putting each puzzle in a labeled gallon-sized baggie or large envelope to help with organization, too!
( The labeling system
will help you keep
and should game pieces
get mixed up it, will be
easy to put everything
back where it belongs!)
