I use these Place Value Mats when teaching Place Value. Students use base ten blocks to make numbers. They place the base ten blocks in the appropriate column. This set includes the following Place Value Mats:
Tens and Ones
Hundreds, Tens, and Ones
Thousands, Hundreds, Tens, and Ones
Ten Thousands, Hundreds, Tens, and Ones
My suggestion is to copy these on cardstock and laminate. That will make them sturdy to use for several years. Because they are laminated, students can use dry erase markers to draw quick pictures, write numbers, write digit values, write numbers in expanded form, etc.
