This place value pack includes 3 different sorts to help students practice identifying multi-digit numbers in standard form, expanded form, and word form. Sort 1 includes whole numbers up to 3 digits, Sort 2 includes whole numbers up to 6 digits, and Sort 3 includes decimals to the thousandths place. The variety of difficulty levels allows this product to be used across grade levels or as a way to differentiate for small group work!
You can choose how you want to use this product in your class. I recommend printing it on card stock - in different colors to distinguish between sorts - and then laminating the cards so they can be used year after year as a center activity. Or, you can have students cut the cards out themselves and glue the sorted cards onto a large piece of paper or poster to use as an end-of-unit/topic/lesson project to check their understanding!
To make your life easier, each sort is included in this pack twice - once with the cards in order if you (the teacher) plans to cut them out yourself, and once with the cards out of order if you plan to have students cut the cards out themselves.
Be sure to check out the downloadable preview of this product to see examples of the sorting cards!
My fourth grade students loved playing this after we finished our place value unit. I hope your students enjoy using it as much as mine did!
And please, if you can, take a moment to rate my product and even comment on it - I would appreciate the feedback so very much!
