This pack contains 5 worksheets that aim to enhance students understandings of partitioning; and subsequently place value. The five worksheets are very visual to support all students in the classroom including those for whom English is a second language/Dialect.
The worksheets provide easy to follow instructions for students but in my classroom, I explicitly model what students are expected to do before encouraging them to attempt the activities independently and with support as required.
Some of the activities within the worksheets include:
-Writing number as shown in the diagram.
-Draw the number shown.
-Who am I? (Using hundreds, tens and ones as clues).
-Partitioning numbers into hundreds, tens and ones using diagrams
-Choosing numbers and partitioning them.
-Writing sentences about the number of hundreds, tens and ones using words provided.
