Product Description
This value is a must have for any second grade teacher working on the NBT Common Core State Standard! Every activity included is differentiated for different types of learners. Almost every activity included also includes the 1000s place to challenge those high thinkers!

It includes:
-Missing Mystery Number: Students read clues about 2 and 3 digit numbers and match them to their correct number.
-What's My Number: Students will match number words to their number in standard form.
-Number Word Nonsense: Students will read a number in standard form, and will then use included number word manipulatives to create the number word form.
-Number Strings: Students will add strings of 3, 4, 5, or more numbers (1 and 2 digit) using combinations (making ten, doubles, near doubles, making twenty, landmark numbers, etc.)
***Number strings are great for practicing those mental math strategies!!!
-Write It Out: Students will choose a number card, and use number manipulatives to create and write the expanded form of the number.
-Stuck in the Middle: Students will choose 2, 3, or 4 different number cards to create a number. Then, students have to figure out the three numbers before and after their number.
-What's the Magic Number: Students will choose a number card, and will then count up by tens from that number until they reach the magic number.
-What's the Magic Number (backwards edition): Students will choose a number card, and will then count backwards by tens from that number until they reach the magic number.
-What's the Magic Number 100: Students will choose a number card, and will then count up by hundreds from that number until they reach the magic number.
-What's the Magic Number 100 (backwards edition): Students will choose a number card, and will then count backwards by hundreds from that number until they reach the magic number.
-Hundreds Chart Mix-Up: Students will put pieces of a hundred chart puzzle together, and will then fill in the missing numbers (100-600)
-What's the Value: Students will sort numbers into thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones based on their underlined place. Then, they will determine the value of the underlined place.
